Viread is indicated for the treatment ofÂ :1. HIV 1 infected adults and pediatric patients 12 years of age and older in combination with other antiretroviral medicinal products for the treatment of HIV.

Chronic hepatitis B in adults with: â¢ Compensated liver disease, with evidence of active viral replication, persistently elevated serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT) levels and histological evidence of active inflammation and/or fibrosis. â¢ Decompensated liver disease
